Our commitment to you!
When do we collect information, what information do we collect, and how will it be used?
To simply browse our Website or shopping catalogue, we do not ask you to provide any information. However, if you wish to participate in our fundraising services, we may need to collect certain information about you or the organization that you represent. This information is only collected with your knowledge (i.e., if you voluntarily provide it to us through one of our online forms) and will usually take the form of either.
The types and amount of information collected for these features will vary depending on the feature. The requested information may include personal or contact information (such as your name and e-mail address) and demographic information (such as your age and gender). The specific types of personal and/or demographic information requested for each feature above and the way the information is used are discussed in more detail below. Under all circumstances, we will only collect the information deemed reasonably necessary to fulfill your requests and our legitimate business objectives.
You may be asked (although not required) to supplement your profile with additional information, such as your telephone number and company mailing address. Once you are registered, you will have the ability to customize your profile (e.g., select newsletter preferences) and set up an address book with personal and/or group contacts. This may involve the collection of personal information such as name and e-mail address about friends, family members, or organizations.
If you are visiting our site to purchase items, registering will allow you to save items in your shopping cart, customize your selection of charities and/or student fundraisers, and will otherwise make your shopping experience more enjoyable.
The contact information associated with your account (e.g., e-mail address and phone number) is used to contact you with important news/announcements about our Website or service, your account activity, or other related information. The contact information in your address book may be used to distribute an occasional ABF e-mail.
We may use your personal and demographic information for our internal marketing and demographic studies, so we can constantly improve the online products and services we provide you and to better meet your fundraising needs.
Visitors purchasing downloadable products through our Website or online store will need to provide valid credit card information (including a valid credit card number and expiration date and billing address), in addition to registering (see above). All financial information is transmitted by SSL protocol via ABF's secure server.
To sign up for our periodic newsletter, we may ask you to provide your e-mail address. This information is used to notify you about special promotions, new products, or other events of interest and to otherwise keep you updated about our company.
A Better Fundraiser, Inc. invites you to spread the word about our novel fundraising service. When you use the A Better Fundraiser, Inc., referral program (or "tell a friend" feature), we ask you to provide your e-mail address and your friend's e-mail address. In return, we send your friend an e-mail message inviting them to visit our Website. The information submitted to us for this program is used only to forward your message.
